Grace and Peace!!! Its that time of the week again. As I sit and type this, I pray that it encourages you to tell God yes. We have heard the sermons, the prophetic words, the confirmations; BUT we have yet to respond. Why??? The bible tells us the day we hear His voice to harden not out hearts. However, we continue to turn a deaf ear to what God has called and commissioned us to do. Why??? We act as if we did not hear the voice of the Lord. Why??? Over the course of my years on this earth, I have been asked to do a lot of things. Some of which I am not to proud of, but if you are honest with yourself so have you! The thing is when they asked us to do it, we had the option to say no, we had the option to act as if we did not hear them either. The key word is option! However, we decided to do it. So again, WHY do we not respond to God the same way we respond so quickly to people? Perhaps, it is because we think that people will do the same for us. Perhaps, we think that people have our best interest at heart. Perhaps!!!!! I do not know about you, but I remember having to take the blame for somethings that I decided to do for some friends. I recall being grounded because of some decisions, I made because of friends. You too right? I have come to realize that friends will let you down, they will turn their backs on you, they will walk away without even saying why. However, I know a man that will stick closer to you than a brother. My Bible tells me that He is a friend to friendless. It goes on to tell me that He will never leave you nor forsake you. That is not even the best part, it states that He will fight your battle. So, if you can tell someone yes, that will leave you hanging, try telling someone yes that will hold you in the palm of His hand. Someone, that will place a hedge of protection around you. Someone, that will have angels encamped all around you. Someone that will supply all your needs. Someone that will love you with no strings attached. All He wants is Yes!!! He knows all about you, the good and the bad but He still loves you and desires for you to be a part of His family. Just say Yes. He knows you are not perfect, but you are pliable in His hands and can be molded and shaped into the person He has predestined you to be. You have tried everything else, come on and try Jesus. I promise you that He will change your life. Just say yes. If you are ready to say yes, say this prayer out loud.
Dear God, I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sin; please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died for my sins and You raised Him to life. I want to invite Him into my heart to take control of my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
