God Keeps His Promises

Jeremiah spoke these words during a dark season for Israel — a time of exile, uncertainty, and loss. Nothing around them looked hopeful. Everything seemed broken. Yet God spoke into the darkness with a promise of restoration:
“The days are coming…”
There is hope on the horizon. Even when circumstances don’t match the promise yet, God is at work behind the scenes.
God Performs What He Promises
Notice the wording:
“I will perform that good thing…”
God doesn’t just make promises — He fulfills them. He completes what He begins. He finishes what He starts. He doesn’t forget, change His mind, or lose track of His Word.
If God said it, He will do it.
Maybe you’re still waiting for the “good thing” God placed in your spirit… Maybe you’ve been praying, hoping, believing — but haven’t seen it yet.
This verse is for you. The days are coming. God has not forgotten you. His promise is on the way.
A Promise Keeper Through Generations
The promise in Jeremiah pointed to something far greater than Israel’s physical restoration — it pointed to Jesus, the ultimate fulfillment of God’s covenant love.
And if God kept His promise then, He will keep His promise now. His faithfulness does not expire. His goodness does not run out. His Word does not return void.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being a God who keeps every promise. Even when things look uncertain, help me trust that the “good thing” You have spoken will come to pass. Strengthen my heart to wait with faith and expectation. Amen.
Takeaway: If God promised it, He will perform it. Hold on — the days are coming, and they are good. 🌅✨
